Coffee Music Project NYC 2017 … CALLING ALL MUSICIANS: The Coffee Music Project will be returning to New York City for a third year this October. The Coffee Music Project is a high profile music competition showcasing the creativity and talents of emerging musicians while engaging a deep spirit of community among those who share a passion for great music and coffee culture. 100% of the profits support Project Waterfall in partnership with charity: water, bringing clean water and sanitation to coffee growing communities. “New York is one of the greatest cities in the world for music, art and coffee. THE COMPETITION: Musicians at all levels can apply online by submitting links to two YouTube video performances. The top 36 contestants will be selected to perform during the qualifying rounds, which will take place on October 8th-10th in the heart of the East Village at Pianos NYC. From the qualifying rounds, 9 contestants will be selected to perform at this year’s New York Coffee Festival on October 13th-15th, before competing in the finals at Rockwood Music Hall, on October 17th. The winner of the competition will receive $1,000 cash, a trip to London to perform the headline slot at The London Coffee Festival 2017, featured guest act performance slot at The Coffee Music Project London 2017, a free recording session and more. All nine finalists will also receive guaranteed slots to perform at The New York Coffee Festival, along with having one song featured on The Coffee Music Project 2017 album.
THE CAUSE: The Coffee Music Project supports Project Waterfall, which is committed to bringing clean water and sanitation to the communities that grow our coffee. All profits from the live shows will directly support clean drinking water projects in Rwanda in partnership with charity: water.
